Getaway house review

I have been wanting to go to a Getaway House for quite some time now! I’m not gonna lie, you won’t ever find me pitching a tent and sleeping on the ground (sorry not sorry) but this glaming/unplugged vibe I definetly am a fan of! They have a few locations, we went to the one in Epsom, NH. and they are pet frienndly, so miss Luna did in fact come along. For Tyler, Luna, and I to stay one night was about $316, but prices can vary depending on your party size, pets, kids, and dates.

They spare no expense when it comes to the details! What you’ll find in your little bungalow is:

  • Queen Sized Bed
  • Pots, pans, dishes, salt, pepper, olive oil
  • AC/Heat
  • Bathroom, with shower and shampoo/conditioner
  • Puzzle
  • Picnic Table
  • Cell Phone Lock Box
  • Ghost Story Mad Libs
  • For Pets: food/water bowl, marshmellow treats, and a lead outside the house for your pet to enjoy
  • Privet Fire Pit & Grill Gate

Check in was at 3PM (They do intense cleaning due to COVID19) , so we spent Sunday traveling up to NH and then hiking a trail near by for most of the day until it was time! Once we got in and unpacked, we started making a fire. Okay Tyler did it but you get the point. We brought up chicken sausages and left over Thanksgiving sides to made for dinner! The little kitchen area had everything we needed to heat the corn and green beans up, while making the chicken sausages over the fire!

We of course made smores for dessert.

Pro Tip: Replace the hershey bar for a reese’s cup and thank me later.

Because it’s New Hampshire in late November, it naturally got cold rather quickly. So when we had enough of the fire, we broke out two bottles of wine, board games, and cards for a simple and relaxing evening. In the morning, it was raining all day so sadly we werent able to hike or be outside. So, we made breakfast and then headed home to replug to reality.

We will 100% be doing this again and I can’t recomend it enough!
